Fend

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Fend is built on a simple idea: you should be able to keep track of what you pay for without handing over access to your bank. This policy explains what information Fend collects, why, and the control you have over it. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

The short version. Fend never connects to your bank or reads your transactions. You enter your subscriptions and bills yourself. We use that information only to run the app for you — showing your totals, sending renewal reminders, and comparing your bills to typical averages. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

Who we are

Fend ("Fend", "we", "us") is a subscription and bill tracking app for users in Ireland and the United Kingdom, operated from Ireland. For anything in this policy, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@getfendapp.com. We are the data controller for the personal information described below.

What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app:

We do not collect your bank details, card numbers, or transaction history, and Fend has no ability to link to a financial account.

How we use it, and our legal basis

Under the GDPR (and UK GDPR), we rely on the following bases:

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run Fend. They only handle your data to provide their service to us, under contract:

Where your data is stored

Your data is held securely with the providers above. Where information is transferred or stored outside the EEA or UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). If you'd like details of the storage region, email us.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our systems, except where we must keep limited records to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@getfendapp.com and we'll respond within the time the law allows.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your supervisory authority — in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie); in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Fend is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. If you believe someone under 16 has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Fend handles your data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
